Elizabeth Goodman, MD

A native Los Angeleno, Dr. Goodman earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Pomona college and her medical degree from Wash U school of medicine in St Louis, before relocating to the Pacific Northwest for residency in primary care internal medicine. She returned to Los Angeles to complete the Kennemer Fellowship in General Internal Medicine at UCLA after which she joined the faculty, eventually choosing to practice at Harbor UCLA. Her clinic interests are wide ranging and include management of complex chronic diseases such as diabetes in underserved populations, as well as topics related to the intersection of gastroenterology and primary care. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Goodman areas of interest include medical school and residency education, having previously served as the site director of the third-year internal medicine clerkship at HUCLA. She also is the winner of the Kouichi R. Tanaka Distinguished Teaching Faculty Award and has collaborated with residents on successful peer reviewed publications. Dr. Goodman is also active in committee service, currently serving as the chair of the Peer Review Committee, the co-chair of the DHS Primary Care Clinical Advisory Committee and as a member-at -large on the Professional Staff Association.
