Welcome to the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology
The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship is a clinically and academically rigorous program with the goal of training physicians to be clinicians, educators and investigators. The program has an emphasis in preparing physicians who can confidently manage a broad spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions.
The program is accredited by the ACGME and has two tracks: clinical and research.
Fellowship training takes place in a variety of environments, including:
- Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, one of the leading hospitals of the Los Angeles County Department of Health providing care to the medically underserved population
- City of Hope, an internationally recognized National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center
- Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest health care organizations in Southern California
Our fellowship program consists of two tracks: research track (rotations predominantly at Harbor-UCLA and City of Hope) and clinical track (rotations predominantly at Harbor-UCLA and Kaiser Permanente). Candidates selected for interviews will be offered an interview for one of the two tracks (at the discretion of the selection committee).
