All selections for first-year resident positions are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). We only accept applications completed through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). The deadline for applications is October 15th.

  • Three Letters of Recommendation. Categorical applicants must have one letter be a DOM Summary Letter of Evaluation (“Chair’s Letter”). Preliminary applicants are not required to have a Chair’s Letter.

Harbor-UCLA Interview Season:

The First-Year Resident Selection Committee will invite a limited number of applicants to arrange for an interview. Interviews for the 2023-2024 interview season will be virtual.

Interviews are offered Virtually between November 1st, 2023 to January 15th, 2024 on:

Monday afternoons

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday mornings

During the 2023-2024 Interview Season we will not be offering second looks, but applicants will have the opportunity to visit virtual didactic and resident sessions to get to know us better!

Sub-Internships and Advanced Clinical Clerkships

Harbor-UCLA also offers a sub-internship in Internal Medicine and a number of advanced clinical clerkships to visiting fourth-year medical students. For more information about these opportunities please click here.

For the 2024 ERAS® cycle, our program will be participating in the supplemental ERAS application offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. Applicants will be required to complete the MyERAS application, and participation in the supplemental ERAS application is optional.
