  1. Formal didactic teaching sessions include:
    • Weekly clinical and basic science journal club.
    • Monthly research conference.
    • Monthly renal pathology conference.
    • Weekly case-based discussion (PBLI).
    • Weekly Nephrology Grand Rounds.
    • Every other month Transplant-Infectious Diseases Conference.
    • Core curriculum of lectures for fellows and residents.
    • Dialysis medical directorship modules with monthly QAPI and hands-on dialysis directorship
    • Intensive dialysis mini-course
    • ESRD Value-Based models including KCF and CKCC, and business of nephrology
    • Inpatient dialysis medical directorship in line of ESRD Networks forum tool kits
    • Renal Pathophysiology with in-service training exam.
  2. Second-year fellows are also, when possible, are encouraged to attend one of the annual meetings of the National Kidney Foundation, the American Society of Nephrology, Annual Transplant Congress, Peritoneal Dialysis University, or other national conferences opportunities that arise.
