Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in our Pathology Residency Program.  Below is information about the program, and a list of required application materials.  We accept the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) applications.

Our program receives a large number of application inquiries, so we will not be able to interview all of the qualified individuals.  We will give priority in consideration to persons who are currently medical students graduating in 2017 or 2018; who are currently interns in a transitional or other specialty residency program; who are international medical school graduates (IMGs) and have passed the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Step 3; or who are state licensed physicians who have decided to pursue training in pathology.  Please note, IMGs must also have qualified for entry into a California residency program (current ECGMG certificate and evaluation status letter from the Medical Board of California), and have a current visa status allowing residency employment.  The USMLE Step 3 examination is especially important for individuals who have not practiced clinical medicine in the past 3 years.

We look forward to reviewing your application.  We will accept applications until December 1, 2017 for a residency position beginning on July 1, 2018.  Interviews of applicants will be scheduled starting in October 2017 through January 2018.

Thank you again for interest in our residency program.
