The K.I.D.S. Hub Clinic provides multi-disciplinary services to children from birth through age 18 who are involved with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). This clinic provides state-of-the-art expert assessment while reducing trauma to the child victims and their families. The Hub Clinic offers expert medical evaluation, forensic examinations/interviews for physical and sexual abuse. In addition, the Hub Clinic provide developmental assessments and mental health assessments for children involved with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The Hub team includes child abuse pediatricians, specially trained nurse practitioners, providers from Department of Mental Health (DMH), DCFS and the Department of Public Health (DPH). The Hub cares for approximately 500 children a month.

Kelly Callahan, MD, MPT is the medical director of the Harbor-UCLA K.I.D.S (Kids in the dependency system) Hub which provides medical care to children involved with DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) as well as forensic evaluations for children with suspected abuse allegations. She is also the medical director of the multi-disciplinary in the Securing Attachments for Emerging Families (S.A.F.E. Families). This clinic provides primary care in a multi-disciplinary approach to infants that have been exposed in-utero to drugs. Dr. Callahan also serves as the chair of the LAC Hub medical director workgroup. Dr. Callahan received her MD at University of New Mexico. She completed her pediatric residency and child abuse fellowship at Harbor UCLA in 2008 and 2011 respectively. She became the medical director of the child abuse/foster care clinic at Harbor-UCLA in 2014.
