The Lundquist Institute Respiratory Research Center

Founded in 1998 as the Rehabilitation Clinical Trials Center, the Respiratory Research Center is a biomedical research group within The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, with a focus improving the outlook for patients with chronic respiratory conditions and exercise limitations. We are the research arm of the Division of Respiratory and Critical Care Physiology and Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. Investigators at the Respiratory Research Center are academically affiliated with the University of California, Los Angeles.
Our research investigators conduct cutting edge clinical and translational research to evaluate medications, therapeutics, and devices. We have published over 450 peer-reviewed scientific articles and are world renowned for discoveries in the field of chronic respiratory disease, exercise physiology and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Our commitment is to improve the quality and duration of life for those suffering from chronic respiratory disease. Through research sponsored by National Institutes for Health (NIH), industry, foundations, and our investigators, we partner with healthcare providers and study participants to improve patient outlook.
