Harbor-UCLA Medical Center services the medically under-served patients of the surrounding Los Angeles community as well as a large, growing cohort of medically insured, empanelled patients. The Department of Internal Medicine’s goals are to provide high-quality care to all our patients and serve as a medical home for those who need it most. Our patients are the heart of our mission and the strength of our training programs.
Harbor-UCLA is also home to LA Biomed, one of the largest biomedical institutes on the West Coast, where the faculty conduct a full range of research endeavors, from standard bench research, to translational and industry clinical trials, to health services research.
The Department of Medicine offers Electronic Health Record (EHR) training to students, interns, residents, fellows, and faculty that are going to be rotating or beginning practice within the Department of Medicine.
