tchowTiffany ChowBen‐Gurion University of the Negev. Tiffany obtained her BS at UCLA in Physiological sciences. Prior to medical school, she has served on mission trips to Haiti and as a camp counselor for foster youth. Tiffany also was an intern with Campus Crusade for Christ for two years. While at Ben‐Gurion, she served on the Board of Directors and was the dance captain for the Light Opera Group of Negev Beer Sheva. Her hobbies besides dance include musical theatre, acoustic guitar, ukulele, piano, cooking and gardening.

 

cferberChristopher FerberDavid Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Chris obtained his BS in Biomedical Engineering at UC Riverside. He has worked with children and youth in many arenas as a roller coaster camp teacher imparting math concepts in the design of roller coasters, chess teacher, tutor, and after school counselor for the YMCA. His hobbies include board games, basketball, ping‐pong and being in the outdoors.

 

 

sharandiShaheen HarandiTufts University School of Medicine (MD/MPH). Shaheen received his BS in Neurobiology & Physiology at UC Davis. For his MPH work, Shaheen did research in a rural community in Kenya. His hobbies include travel, soccer, swimming, and acoustic guitar.

Francesca received her BA in Asian American Studies from Pomona College and she has worked & volunteered with the Asian Pacific Islander communities in many arenas. Her hobbies include reading fantasy & science fiction novels, running, yoga and hiking.

 

 

 

hhuffHanalise HuffTulane University School of Medicine (MD/MPH). Hannalise received her BA in the field of Psychology & Molecular and Cellular Biology at UC Berkeley. She spent time as a researcher at Boston Children working with children with learning disabilities. While at Tulane, she spent time in Nepal & Thailand as part of her MPH work. Her hobbies include live music, playing guitar, salsa dancing and creative writing.

Physiology from Stanford University, and obtained her MPH at UCLA. She was a research project manager for the UCLA/RAND corporation working on projects related to preventive health and health care access. She enjoys spending time with family & friends, biking, and dancing.

 

 

mnguyenMichael NguyenChicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University. Michael obtained his BS in

Physiological Sciences from UCLA. Prior to medical school, he was an EMT for the Long Beach area as well as for the YMCA camps. He has also worked with at‐risk youth in the Long Beach area and through the YMCA. His hobbies are many, a selected handful: surfing, woodwork, playing guitar, and cinematography.

While at the University of Arizona, Katherine was inducted into the Golden Humanitarian Honor Society and Committed to Underserved Population Leadership award. She obtained her BA/BS from UC Irvine in Public Health Policy/Public Health Sciences. While at UCI, she was a Track & Field/Cross‐country scholarship athlete, receiving Big West Scholar Athlete Award all 4 years. She had worked with youth as a counselor for a running camp, and as a swim instructor.

 

nwadwhaNisha WadhwaUniversity of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Nisha received her BS in Microbiology,

Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. She worked on a project involving the Genomic Prescribing System. Her hobbies include baking & cake decorating, hiking, photography, and modern and classical Indian Dance. She has a black belt in Shaolin Kempo.

 

 

mzhouMichelle Zhou – University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. Michelle obtained her BS in Bioengineering from UC San Diego. She has also done research work in Tanzania. She is a trained cardiac ultrasonographer and has used this skill in several volunteer and research areas. Her hobbies include hiking, tennis, traveling, piano, cooking and ultimate frisbee.
