David Imagawa, PhD, served as UCLA faculty for 42 years and 26 years at Harbor-UCLA. as a member of the Division of Pediatrics Infectious Diseases, he was the Director of the Diagnostic Virology Laboratory. His research focused on HIV and measles vaccine development. In tribute to his role as an investigator and teacher to many, his family and reminds created the DAVID T. IMAGAWA Pediatric & Infectious Diseases Research Fellow Travel Awards as a resource to support trainees‘ travel for presentation of their research. Applicants must have a first authored research abstract accepted for presentation at a regional, national, or international meeting.
