CAP YEAR I

Inpatient:  4 months at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital (NPH)

Inpatient Call:  While at NPH, fellows have about 9 evening calls, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. seeing consults in the ER at UCLA

Consultation/Liaison:  Cases given throughout the year, except while inpatient at NPH

Emergency Department:  Approximately 35-37 ED day shifts per year

Night Call (From Home):  Week-long call, every 2-3 weeks starting in October of the first year

Outpatient:  Start with a caseload of 30 patients, supervised Intake every 1-2 weeks

CAP II YEAR

No ED day shifts or C/L cases (except in July, when CAP I’s are orienting)

Night Call (From Home):  Week-long call, 6 week-long shifts all year

Outpatient:  Typically one intake a month

Electives:  Various opportunities at UCLA and in the community
